Where we work

Dental Marketing Across Regional Victoria

We're based in Bendigo, and we work with clinics across regional Victoria. Every one of these markets behaves differently — the size of the catchment, how much competition there is, and how far patients will travel all change what actually works. Here's how we read each one.

If you're in Bendigo, we've written about that market separately — it's home, and we know it best. Read the Bendigo page.

Town by town

Ballarat · ~110,000

Ballarat is a regional city the size of Bendigo, and its dental market is maturing fast — established practices and newer clinics both fighting for the top of local search. The clinics winning here aren't the biggest; they're the ones showing up first when a Ballarat patient reaches for their phone.

Shepparton · ~65,000

Shepparton anchors the Goulburn Valley, drawing patients from a wide surrounding farming catchment. That means a clinic's real market is far larger than the town itself — but only if you're visible to the people searching from Mooroopna, Kialla and the smaller towns around it, not just central Shepparton.

Geelong · ~280,000

Geelong is the largest city we serve, and its scale cuts both ways: more patients searching every day, but far more clinics competing for them and Melbourne agencies circling the market. Winning here is about precision — reaching high-intent patients in your specific corner of Geelong rather than paying to shout at the whole city.

Wodonga · ~45,000

Wodonga shares a single cross-border market with Albury, so patients move freely between two states when they choose a dentist. A clinic that understands how that border search behaviour works — and shows up on both sides of it — has an advantage most local practices haven't thought to claim yet.

Mildura · ~35,000

Mildura is one of the most isolated markets in Victoria, and that isolation is an opportunity. With few clinics investing seriously in local search, the digital competition is thin — the first practice to build a real online growth system here can own the top of local results for years.

Horsham · ~20,000

Horsham is the service hub of the Wimmera, so a local clinic quietly serves a large rural region. Most practices here rely on word of mouth and haven't touched local search — which means the digital shelf is almost empty, and it's there for the taking by whoever claims it first.

Warrnambool · ~35,000

Warrnambool is the biggest town on Victoria's south-west coast and pulls patients from a long stretch of surrounding shires. A clinic here isn't just competing locally — it's the natural choice for a whole region, if its online presence reaches the smaller coastal and inland towns that look to Warrnambool for care.

Sale · ~15,000

Sale sits at the gateway to Gippsland's Lakes district, with a steady local population and seasonal visitors on top. For a clinic here, consistency is everything — being the practice that reliably appears first, all year round, when both locals and newcomers search for a dentist in the region.

Wangaratta · ~20,000

Wangaratta is the commercial centre of Victoria's north-east, on the main corridor between Melbourne and the border. It's a growing market where a clinic's catchment stretches well beyond the town — and the practices that invest early in local visibility will be the established names as the region grows.

Traralgon · ~25,000

Traralgon is the largest city in the Latrobe Valley, sitting in a tight cluster with Morwell and Moe. Patients across the whole valley compare clinics online before they book, so a Traralgon practice that owns local search captures demand from well beyond its own postcode.

What's the same everywhere

Three clinics appear in Google's local map pack. Whatever the town, those three get the calls, and the practices that get there aren't usually the biggest — they're the ones whose online presence is actually maintained. In a regional market that bar is genuinely lower than in Melbourne, because far fewer clinics are competing properly.

The work itself is unglamorous: an accurate Google Business Profile, a site that says plainly where you are and what you do, consistent details everywhere a patient might find you, and reviews that keep arriving. No guarantees about patient numbers — but these are the things that decide whether anyone finds you at all.

Working with us

We're in Bendigo, which means regional Victoria isn't a market we service remotely — it's where we are. See what we do, or start with local search, which is where most clinics have the most to gain.
